i can't live peacefully without keeping track of everything i consume. because of my lifestyle and the way i interact with people, 90% of what has shaped me in this life are things like music, video games, anime, etc.

music

i really love music; it's my main hobby. i can listen to relatively mainstream stuff, but for a long time my biggest obsession has been with genres like gorenoise, harsh noise, harsh noise wall/ambient noise wall, noisecore, power electronics, etc. in short, i like extreme or experimental stuff.

favorite gorenoise/goregrind acts: Last Days of Humanity, Epiploenterocele Pusliquid Wormchunk and Cystgurgle

favorite harsh noise acts: Incapacitants, Masonna and Merzbow

favorite harsh noise wall/ambient noise wall acts: Chamber of Tapeworms, pinniped and Impermanence

favorite noisecore acts: Sissy Spacek, The Gerogerigegege and Anal Cunt

:)

games

due to certain circumstances i've had to deal with in my life, i haven't been able to play that much (only about 200 games over a period of less than 24 years). i mainly focus on rhythm games and jrpgs. i appreciate games with trippy aesthetics or ones that somehow satisfy my brain. right now, i'm obsessed with the idea of playing every NES and Famicom rpg.

my two all-time favorite video games are Lisa: The Painful and Yume Nikki.

anime

my taste in anime is just like that of any other pretentious elitist, except that there are still a lot of things i haven't deigned to watch because of my adhd and lack of concentration.

3x3

yeah, basically this.

movies

finally, the hobby i've explored the least. i've always had trouble with anything that involves sitting still and staring at a screen for hours. it's hard for me to stay focused for that long. that's why i haven't seen that many movies; i don't consider myself a cinephile, and for me, reaching 100 movies watched would be a remarkable milestone.

in general, i've mostly watched mondo films/shockumentaries or mainstream movies. i'm interested in watching j-horror. that doesn't really align with my favorite movies tho: All About Lily Chou-Chou, Linda Linda Linda, Peep “TV” Show, and Suicide Club.

last words

humanity has lost its meaning; we live in an era where it’s impossible to stand out without betraying ourselves and being false. i'm aware that my life is limited and that there are 8.3 billion other people just like me. this isn't necessarily a bad thing; it means we’re free to choose what we want to do during our brief time on this earth. times and people change, and i don’t consider it a waste of life to devote myself entirely to consuming media that makes me feel fulfilled and happy to be alive and to experience these things. to anyone who might be reading this: be genuine, don’t be afraid to show who you are, and be true to yourself. ignore the perceptions and opinions of others, and always remember that 100 years from now, no one will remember you. no one will know about your mistakes, much less your achievements.

seek happiness.
